cause

JNET.JAR, JSSE.JAR, JCERT.JAR are missing in the SYS:\TOMCAT\33-XX\LIB\COMMON directory, because they are not part of TOMCAT 3.3 nor JVM 1.2.2.

fix

JNET.JAR, JSSE.JAR, JCERT.JAR are part of Java(TM) Secure Socket Extension (JSSE) which is included in JSDK 1.4 (JVM 1.4). But is available as a separate download from http://java.sun.com/products/jsse/. Registration is required.

Download the package, and extract it to a temp. directory. In <temp>\jsse1.0.2\lib you will find these files. Copy them to SYS:\<TOMCAT-HOME>\LIB\COMMON, and restart Jarkarta-Tomcat.
