fact

Novell NetWare 6.0 Support Pack (NW6SP1.EXE)

Server has multiple NIC's

symptom

PORTAL.NLM is registering with wrong IP address.

cause

PORTAL.NLM registers with the IP address that is bound to HTTPSTK.NLM and HTTPSTK.NLM automatically binds to the first NIC.  There is currently no command line switch to indicate which IP address to bind to.

fix

After HTTPSTK.NLM is loaded and before PORTAL.NLM loads, use the following two commands to fix get HTTPSTK.NLM bound to the correct IP address:

HTTPUNBIND <first IP address>
HTTPBIND <second IP address> /keyfile:"Name of the SSL Certificate"

Once HTTPSTK is bound to the correct IP address, you can load PORTAL.NLM and it will register with the correct IP address also.
