Novell GroupWise WebAccess

symptom

Error installing WebAccess.

Error during WebAccess install.

Error occurs at the end of the WebAccess install.

Error: The remote procedure call failed.

Error: "Setup failed to run installation: The remote procedure call failed."

cause

The WebAccess installation had a problem with one of the objects.

fix

In the NDS tree highlight the GroupWise domain that owns the WebAccess and verify the following objects are there and create any missing ones. Verify the paths and information is correct in them.
WEBAC60A - or what you gave in the installation.
GroupWiseDocumentProvider - WebPublisher only.
GroupWiseProvider.
LDAPProvider.
GroupWiseWebAccess.
GroupWiseWebPublisher - WebPublisher only.
NovellSpeller.

In another case we found the software we were installing from to be corrupt. RE-downloaded the GroupWise support pack and installed Webaccess from the Internet/ Webaccess directory
