-699 error shows in DSTRACE synchronization traffic

ABEND: ReturnAConnectionNumber found a logged out connection

ABEND: ReturnAConnectionNumber found a logged out connection with objectName not set to notLoggedInName.  

Server Abends

change

Installed/upgrade to NetWare 6 and no patches have been applied.

cause

The server is abending when a connection with no status is found with a non-not_logged_in name.  NDS auditing had been enabled on the container, and NDSAudit is trying to clear a bit in the status field.  

fix

This issue has been resolved with an updated FILESYS.NLM patch (TID #2960717 - NW6FS1A.EXE), which can be downloaded from support.novell.com/filefinder/ This new FILESYS.NLM is also included with NetWare 6 Support Pack 2 (NW6SP2.EXE)
