symptom

MSI error 1604 on NT workstations at the end of an install

MSI application is configured to be installed on NT as Unsecure System Impersonation.

Only occurs to NT restricted users.  (Member of the user group)

Application will install correctly for NT Local users with Administrator privileges.

Problem does not occur on Windows 2000 desktops.

cause

A flag in the code was not being set correctly for shutdown/restart.  

fix

Fixed in Field Test Files listed below.  They can be downloaded from support.novell.com/filefinder.

ZFD 3.0 -> ZD3NTMSI.EXE
ZFD 3.2 -> ZD32NW4.EXE, ZD32NW.EXE, ZD322K1.EXE, OR ZD322K2.EXE (all are the same patch for different OS)
