cause

On WinNT the Marquee settings will be kept at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Screen Saver.Marquee

On Win98 the Marquee settings will be kept in the Windows/Control.ini file.

fix

First start snapshot and take your first snapshot of the workstation. Then close down snapshot and make the changes desired to the marquee and screensaver settings. Apply the settings and close down the desktop window. Start snapshot a second time and finish the snapshot creation. Then create your application object and associate it to containers, groups, or users.
