STARTX will not execute.

Error:  SYS:JAVA\NWGFX\XINIT:  Fatal Error:  File  SYS:JAVA\java/nwgfx/pre_srv.ncf did not exist.

Error:  Fatal server error:  Cannot read file  "$JAVA_HOME/nwgfx/xf86conf"  specified by the -xf86config flag

STARTX will not execute after changing GUI resolution.

NetWare Java GUI environment shows only a black screen.

Unable to find load file SYS:/java/nwgfx/xfvga16.nlm sys:/java/nwgfx/xinit.nlm

cause

Incorrect video card, resolution, or refresh rate selected.

fix

Unload Java (java -exit), then reset the GUI by executing VESA_RSP at the server console. Then restart the GUI by typing STARTX.
