Multiple Connections being displayed in monitor for a single user.

Unable to delete connections from Monitor

Connections in Monitor are locked.

Unable to Clear Active Connection in Monitor

cause

Client file caching is causing high utilization.

fix

Recent support packs have added the ability to disable Client file caching from the server.  Under MONITOR | SERVER PARAMETERS  | NCP |  Set Client File Caching Enabled = Off.  This has fixed many of the utilization issues being seen.  The server will need to be restarted.

For those that have set the above parameter and still have utilization problems, install the new FILESYS.NLM (FLSYSFT3.EXE) update.

Note:NW 5.1 SP2a or NW 5.0 SP6a MUST be applied before applying this patch or the server will not boot properly.
