Native NetWare Tape Device Support List

This is a list of devices supported by NWTAPE.CDM, which is commonly used with Novell's backup engine called SBCON and some 3rd party backup applications. Backup applications that do not use Novell's NWTAPE.CDM driver will have their own device support and in that case the list below does not apply.

Unfortunately, the names in this list are not necessarily the names by which the user will know them. For instance, the HP C1533A is known to end users as a SureStore 6000 or something like that. Nevertheless, I hope this is of some use.

NWTAPE will attempt to drive any ATAPI tape device detected. However, many
have not been tested, those drives are not in this list and the user is responsible to do any testing.
