Solaris

NDS Corporate Edition.   

Evaluation cd is being used for the install.  

symptom

Error: "pkgadd error: unable to open admin file admin.nds4".

Error occurs during install of Solaris Server after running NDS

Solaris truncates the file admin.nds4 to admin~1.nds on the evaluation cd.

When file is viewed on linux or windows workstations the file is correct (admin.nds4).
  

fix

Solution is to FTP file into the solaris server and then run the install.  The file is not truncated doing it that way.
