change

After power outage server will not boot/start

cause

SERVCFG.000, SERVCFG.001, SERVCFG.BAK  are corrupt or damaged because the server was NOT downed properly.

fix

One can delete SERVCFG.000, SERVCFG.001, SERVCFG.BAK  in the C:\NWSERVER\  directory without reservation. They are created by the SERVER.EXE each time the server boots. One will loose custom settings that have been set in MONITOR.NLM.

If that does not work bring up the server in LOADSTAGES to find where the server is failing. See Document: 10018811

Author has had good luck remarking out the disk drivers in the startup.ncf | reboot | nwconfig | driver options | re-detect the drivers

For NetWare 6.x on rare occasions will corupt the c:\nwserver\nssstart.cfg (after a raid drive failure).  Rename this and attempt to bring up the server normally. To troubleshoot further SERVER.EXE -KF8 and step through the process.
