symptom

Error: "The server is busy and unable to process your request.  Please try again later."

Unable to login to WebAccess

Error logging into WebAccess

cause

WebAccess has a default setting which allows a maximum of 250 concurrent users.  Once the maximum is reached, users who attempt to login will get the error that the server is busy.  You can use a startup switch to set the maximum concurrent users higher or lower than the default of 250.

fix

To override the default "maximum simultaneous users" setting in WebAccess, add the /maxuser switch to the STRTWEB.NCF or STRTWEB.BAT (STRTWEB5.NCF or STRTWEB.BAT for EP) file using the following syntax:
/maxuser=<# of users>

cause

The /maxuser switch was causing a problem with WebAccess

fix

Remove the /maxuser switch from the STRTWEB.NCF or STRTWEB.BAT (STRTWEB5.NCF or STRTWEB.BAT for EP) file .
