fix
This Solution is written specifically for the CUTEFTP program. In order to setup CUTEFTP to work through the Novell FTP Proxy:
1- Configure the BorderManager 3.0 or 3.5 server to run the FTP Proxy.
To do this go into NWADMIN and into the BorderManager Setup tab. Check the FTP Proxy box. The default separator for Username/Password is $ not @ (you have the option change this If you need further explanation use the F1, help key).
2- Once the service is enabled on the server, configure the application. Bring up the application and at the tool bar select FTP, Settings, Options. From here select the "Firewall" tab.
3- The basic configuration is to select the radial button "USER@HOST" and in the Host field put the private IP address of the BorderManager server. Also include the port number that FTP will be using. (The default is 21). Enable Firewall Access
4- Once that is configured FTP Proxy service should be available. On the Toolbar select FTP, Site Manager and create your connection. Site Label is the name of the site (i.e. Novell). Host Address is the location of the FTP site. Select Login Type anonymous. Leave rest at default. Connect to site.
