NDS relies on timesync and time information in order to time stamp the changes with in NDS. As part of the time set up you need to
correctly identify the time zone for which the server resides. The time on the server will determine NDS timestamps and file system time stamps.

fix

There are various methods for which time zones can be reset. The most efficient method is to use the Servman utility.
This utility will update the autoexec.ncf, the startnet.ncf and the timesync.cfg files automatically, if necessary. The following procedures will walk you through the necessary steps.
At the server console,
1.  Load SERVMAN | Server Parameters | Time | Time Zone
2.  Enter the correct variable, including any negative signs if appropriate, and enter to accept the changes.
The method for determining what the Time Zone Variable is:
Example1: for Mountain Standard Time: MST7MDT
MST = Mountain Standard Time; this variable found under 'STD' (Standard Time Zone)
7 = this time zone is 7 hours off of the 'GMT' (Greenwich Mean Time), this variable found under 'STD' (Standard Time Zone)
MDT = Mountain Daylight Time; this variable found under 'DAY' (Daylight Savings Time)
TIM: "United States of America, Mountain Time"
     STD: MST, '+07:00'
     DAY: MDT, '+1:00'
 Example2: for Mid-European Time: MET-1MEST
MET = Mid-European Time; this variable found under 'STD' (Standard Time Zone)
-1 = this time zone is -1 hours off of the 'GMT' (Greenwich Mean Time), this variable found under 'STD' (Standard Time Zone)
MEST = Mid-European Summer Time; this variable found under 'DAY' (Daylight Savings Time)
     TIM: "Germany, Mid-European Time"
    STD: MET, '-01:00'
    DAY: MEST, '+1:00'
** See the end of this solution document for a listing of default Time Zone settings for the world.
If in daylight savings time make sure that, in the 'Server General Information' menu you set:
      Daylight Savings Time = on.
3.  Escape out to the 'Update Options' menu, select, Update AUTOEXEC.NCF and STARTUP.NCF now.
4.  Escape out to 'Exit SERVMAN?' menu, select yes to exit.
5.   At the server console type:
SET TIMESYNC RESTART FLAG = ON
(this will set the correct time zone)
**after changing the time, the network will be in a state of synthetic time until it "catches up"  This should not cause any problems.
