symptom
ZFS and TED agents do not display the correct local time. The NetWare Server has the correct local time.
cause
NetWare uses GMT offset, JVM uses the Timezone code which is set on the install of NetWare. If incorrect local timezone code is entered NetWare still knows the correct time (using GMT offset) however, Java applications, such as the ZFS agents will have an incorrect time.
fix
Set the timezone variable to the correct three character local time zone. In NetWare 5 at present this can only be done permanently by manually editing the AUTOEXEC.NCF and setting the time zone like the following example: SET TIME ZONE = MST
The change can be made in Monitor - server parameters - time, but this is not written to the AUTOEXEC.NCF file and thus is lost after the next boot. Both should be changed.
