symptom

Error:  "The ordinal 68 could not be located in the dynamic link library LOCWIN32.DLL"

Error returned when running WSREG32.EXE or UNREG32.EXE

cause

On older version of LOCWIN32.DLL existed on the workstation, or the PATH was pointing to a location that had an older version that was being used rather than the one on the workstation.

fix

Update the LOCWIN32.DLL on the workstation, or in the location where the PATH statement is looking first.  LOCWIN32.DLL files are updated with client versions.  Download the latest client to get the latest LOCWIN32.DLL.
