Novell GroupWise 6.5

Novell GroupWise 5.5.

Novell GroupWise 32-bit Client

Error occurs when launching GroupWise client.

Structure/Contents check does not fix the problem.

Reset client options does not fix the problem.

Error occurs when switching the caching mode within client.

symptom

Error: "AA02 An error occurred while reading the item"

fix

Run mailbox/library maintenance, recreate user db.  This will require the user to re-file their messages.

symptom

Error: "AA02 request for personal address books failed"

fix

For personal address book error try the following:

1.  Using standalone GWCheck, runing Analyze/Fix, which contents and fix problems checked.  In the MISC tab type in all capital letters: PABFIX.

2.  If the above does not work, open the client and export the personal address book.  Then delete the personal address book.  Try caching mode again.

3.  Run mailbox/library maintenance, recreate user db.  This will require the user to re-file their messages.

If recreate userxxx.db is necessary, note that all personal address books, frequent contacts, and personal information and settings are all lost.  Upon recreatation, the all users mail will be placed in the cabinet, and will have to be re-filed.
