symptom

After a mail outage there are thousands of messages in the GWIA\GWPROB directory that need to be sent, can this be done?

fix

To attempt to recover messages from the GWIA\GWPROB directory, messages can be recovered can be copied from the GWIA\GWPROB directory into the GWIA\RECEIVE directory with a new file extension. For example: At a command prompt type "COPY F:\<DOMAIN>\WPGATE\GWIA\GWPROB\*.* F:\<DOMAIN>\WPGATE\GWIA\RECEIVE\*.001" (where <F:> is mapped to the drive where the GW directories are located)

This will move all the files from the GWPROB directory to the GWIA\REVEIVE queue to be processed by GWIA.

NOTE: Files in the GWPROB may be undeliverable even when renamed and copied into the REVEIVE directory. Also, if there are thousands of files in GWPROB, copy them into the RECEIVE directory in smaller batches of files instead of all at once.
