symptom

Wingding, garbage and Egyptian type characters show up under object names in ManageWise Console.

Error occurs when opening the internetwork or segment map. The node names are not legible. They have strange characters in the name fields.

cause

Could be an incompatible or corrupted font size or type.

fix

Try changing the font type by doing the following

    1. From the pull-down menu select "Configure / Global Preferences"
    2. Scroll down the objects on the right and select "Console Font Options" Choose a different font. The size is best set between 8 & 12.
