symptom

MTA stops responding with "Waiting for task NGW-ROUTER0" messages.

MTA will not shut down.

Messages are not processed by the MTA after the first few minutes it is up.

cause

Bad messages in domain directory queues.

fix

Rename the WPCSIN, WPCSOUT, and MSLOCAL under the domain directory, the WPSCIN and WPCSOUT directory in the <domain>\WPGATE\ <gateway id> and the <postoffice>\WPCSIN directories and delete/recreate the MTA object in the NDS and GroupWise views will fix the problem.

Update to the 5.5.2 or later version of the agents may also work.
