symptom
UDP vs TCP over CMD
fix
There is no way to modify the protocol used for CMD communication. Following is an explanation of the ports and protocols used:
The ports that need to be opened for CMD communication are UDP 2645 and TCP 2302.
All communication destined for an IPX device through a Migration Agent (MA) will use UDP packets.
Devices communicating to the MA for information on services available and routes to those services will use the following protocols:
5.0 server running SCMD to MA - TCP
Client running CMD to MA - UDP
MA to MA - UDP
