Corel WordPerfect 8

symptom

Error opening documents

Error: "WPWIN Warning: The file '::ODMA\GRPWISE\<domain>.<po>.<library>:<document #>' name as specified in execution parameters, cannot be opened"

Problem is workstation specific

fact

Integration is enabled under Tools | Options | Documents

"Dual Executable" mode is NOT enabled under Tools | Options | Documents

GWAPPINT.INF file is set to "integrations=2"

GW integrations set to "Enabled" in the Windows registry settings under HKEY_CURRENT_USER | SOFTWARE | NOVELL | GROUPWISE | CLIENT | LIBRARY

cause

GroupWise is not specified as the default ODMA application in the Windows registry

fix

To fix the GroupWise client error: "<document> as specified in execution parameters, cannot be opened"
1. Make sure that the ODMA32.DLL file is actually installed in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM on the problem workstations
2. Check the Windows registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT | ODMA32 and verify that there is a GRPWISE folder which contains a key that points to                                 C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\GWODM132.DLL
3. There should also be a "DEFAULT" folder under GRPWISE (tells all ODMA applications that GroupWise is the default ODMA server)
