symptom

Error launching GroupWise client.

Error: C03F

cause

Structural damage on the USER.DB.

fix

Run structural rebuild on the user.
(Note: If this is reoccurring problem, check for faulty hardware, older version of network client, or user error on shutting down workstation.)

Another possible cause is a corrupted archive.  To test delete the archive path, and launch the client.  If the error stops, then run GWCHK32.EXE against the archive to clean it up.

If neither of these work it will be necessary to restore the user database from backup.

cause

In another cases it was not damage to a database.  Rather something wrong with how the client was functioning.

symptom

Error: c03f

Error occurs only on one machine.

The problem is not user specific.

fix

Run GWCA55.EXE to clean GroupWise off the workstation, and reinstall.
