NetIQ Cloud Manager 2.1.5 Patch 1

March 8, 2013

This file contains information about NetIQ Cloud Manager 2.1.5 Patch 1. The Cloud Manager
Application Server core is affected by this patch.

1.0  Bugs Fixed in This Patch

This patch includes a fix for each of the following bugs:

     -  Bug 803269 - "Autologon for Windows Sysprep Config is not honored"

     -  Bug 808013 - "'Synchronize' in the Cloud Manager GUI wipes network settings"

2.0  Files Included in This Patch

The following files are included in Cloud Manager 2.1.5 Patch 1:

     -  "cm-core-77.6.49.jar"

3.0  Patch Installation Requirements

Ensure that the following prerequisites are met before you install this patch:

     -  Cloud Manager Application Server 2.1.5 is installed and is up and running.

     -  Download the Cloud Manager 2.1.5 Patch 1 file ("cm-core-77.6.49.jar") into a directory on
the Cloud Manager Application Server. For example:
        "/tmp/ncm2.1.5_patch/cm-core-77.6.49.jar".

4.0  Installing the Patch

After you have copied the patch file to the server, use the following steps to install the
     file:

      1. Back up the current
         "/opt/netiq/cloudmanager/system/com/novell/cm/backend/cm-core/77.6.49/cm-core-77.6.49.jar"
         file.

For example, you could use the following command to save a backup:

         cp
         /opt/netiq/cloudmanager/system/com/novell/cm/backend/cm-core/77.6.49/cm-core-77.6.49.jar
         /cloudmanager_backup_files/cm-core-77.6.49.jar.orig

      2. Copy the 2.1.5 Patch 1 ".jar" file from the temporary directory where you downloaded the
         patch file to
         "/opt/netiq/cloudmanager/system/com/novell/cm/backend/cm-core/77.6.49/cm-core-77.6.49.jar"
         .

For example, you could use the following command to copy the patch file to the correct
         directory:

         cp /tmp/ncm2.1.5_patch/cm-core-77.6.49.jar
         /opt/netiq/cloudmanager/system/com/novell/cm/backend/cm-core/77.6.49/cm-core-77.6.49.jar

NOTE: Ensure that you overwrite the existing file of the same name, if it exists.

      3. Restart the Cloud Manager service with the reload option to clear the cache and force the
new ".jar" file to take effect:

         /etc/init.d/netiq-cloudmanager reload

      4. Verify that the new ".jar" file is installed.

4.a. Log in to the Cloud Manager Application Server Console.

4.b. In the console, click Help > About.

4.c. In the About box, verify that the version number reads 77.6.50.

NOTE: The displayed version number is different from the build number because the
patch originated as 77.6.50, but was renamed to 77.6.49 to save a step in
installation. The patch metadata version, displayed in the About box, remains
77.6.50 to assist NetIQ support in identifying the actual build of the Cloud Manager
               Application Server you are using.
