abstract

This patch is to address Oracle Viewer Security bug for Netware.   This patch is intended ONLY for systems that have GroupWise 8.03 SP1 on the Netware OS.  Linux and Windows already include these fixes as part of GroupWise 8.03 SP1 and do not need any additional changes. These files have not been tested against older versions of GroupWise.  Please follow the instructions listed to apply the patch.

Please follow these instructions to update the Oracle Outside In libraries used in GroupWise (version 8 only) on Novell NetWare (platform). For other platforms, please download the latest update from Novell Support website.

The following components should be patched with this update.

1. GroupWise Agents (POA/MTA)
    1. Using a Windows workstation, make sure you can browse to the directory where the GWPOA.NLM/GWMTA.NLM are installed on your NetWare server (default: \\server\sys\system directory)
    2. Unload the GWPOA.NLM/GWMTA.NLM (if the agents are running)
    3. Copy all the files found in the "binaries" directory to the directory that has the GWPOA.NLM/GWMTA.NLM
    4. Confirm overwriting of files
    5. Load the GWPOA.NLM/GWMTA.NLM

2. GroupWise WebAccess Agent
    1. Using a Windows workstation, make sure you can browse to the directory where the GWINTER.NLM is installed on your NetWare server (default: \\server\sys\system directory)
    2. Unload the GWINTER.NLM (if the agent is running)
    3. Copy all the files found in the "binaries" directory to the directory that has the GWINTER.NLM
    4. Confirm overwriting of files
    5. Load the GWINTER.NLM

3. GroupWise Internet Agent
    1. Using a Windows workstation, make sure you can browse to the directory where the GWIA.NLM are installed on your NetWare server (default: \\server\sys\system directory)
    2. Unload the GWIA.NLM (if the agent is running)
    3. Copy all the files found in the "binaries" directory to the directory that has the GWIA.NLM
    4. Confirm overwriting of files
    5. Load the GWIA.NLM
