Overview:
Novell ZPM Update 6.4 - Agent for Windows 7, This agent is shared by Vista, Server 2008, Windows 7, and Server 2008 R2 endpoints. This update can be applied manually to the PLUS server. See TID 7005331 for details.

Installation
Updating the Agent on the ZENworks Patch Management Server

The ZENworks Patch Management 6.4 Agent for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 are shared with Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. In order to extend these agents to these newly supported platforms, the new shared agent (version 6.4.2.504) needs to replace the existing Vista agent on the ZENworks Patch Management Server.

Use the following steps to replace the agent:

1. Download the compressed archive from Novell Download and extract to the ZPM Update Server
2. Copy the extracted files to the Download folder on the ZPM Server at the following location, overwriting the existing files of the same name:

\Novell\ZENworks Patch Management Server\Webroot\Download

Note: Windows 7 endpoints will report to the Server as Vista until the 6.4.0.504 agent is successfully deployed to the endpoint and successfully registers with the Server.

Uninstalling:

Note:

* There are two files in the compressed ZIP file, one for 32bit and one for 64bit platforms

* This agent is shared by Vista, Server 2008, Windows 7, and Server 2008 R2 endpoints

* The new agent will need to be moved to the download folder on the ZENworks Server:
\Novell\ZENworks Patch Management Server\Webroot\Download
