iPrint Client for SUSE® Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) 10 version 4.40.
This version of the client is also available in Support Pack 2 for Open Enterprise Server (OES) 2. This client can be used to print to iPrint hosted on OES 2 or NetWare® 6.5 SP7 and SP8. This download is provided as a convenience for those who want the iPrint Client for Linux without downloading a full server Support Pack. Included in this download are clients for SLED 10.

System Requirements:
SLED 10
This client is known to work on OpenSUSE® 10.3 and 11.0; however, it is not officially supported.
This version of the iPrint client will not install on Novell Linux Desktop (NLD) 9.
Installation:
32 bit Installation -
rpm -Uvh novell-iprint-xclient-sl-6.501.20090923-1.i586.rpm
or
rpm -Uvh novell-iprint-xclient-sh-6.501.20090923-1.i586.rpm
64 bit Installation -
rpm -Uvh novell-iprint-xclient-sl-6.502.20090923-1.x86_64.rpm
or
rpm -Uvh novell-iprint-xclient-sh-6.502.20090923-1.x86_64.rpm
After Installation:
1. Exit and restart all instances of your Web browser before installing the printers.
2. If you want to install or use a secure printer without logging in again or rebooting your system, run the iPrint Launcher from the applications menu.
Additional Information:
The Linux iPrint Client is packaged in two different, specialized installations that control access to the workstation's print system. The following explains the differences between the two clients:
novell-iprint-xclient-sh-6.502.20090923-1....rpm: Security high. Limited access to the print system.
This client requires workstation users to be defined with lppasswd to install, delete, or administer printers on the workstation. When users perform one of these print operations, they must provide a password.
novell-iprint-xclient-sl-6.502.20090923-1....rpm: Security low. Unlimited access to the print system.
This client allows all users of the workstation to install, delete, or administer printers and print jobs on the workstation, including printers and print jobs of other users.
To provide these clients from an iPrint server:
NetWare Server: (NetWare 6.5 SP7 and SP8)
Copy RPMs from this download at the following locations:
32 bit RPM: sys:/apache2/htdocs/ippdocs/clients/linux/x86
64 bit RPM: sys:/apache2/htdocs/ippdocs/clients/linux/x86_64
From a Netware iPrint server, client for either SLED 10 or SLED 11 is provided.

32 bit RPM: /var/opt/novell/iprint/htdocs/clients/linux/x86
64 bit RPM: /var/opt/novell/iprint/htdocs/clients/linux/x86_64
From a OES 2 SP1 iPrint server, client for either SLED 10 or SLED 11 is provided.
OES 2 SP2 Server:
The iPrint client RPM distributed with the OES 2 SP2 server provides these clients.
