Overview: Product Recognition Update for;
ZENworks Configuration Management 10.2
ZENworks Asset Management 10.2
System Requirements: This PRU only works with ZCM or ZAM 10.2
See system requirements for ZENworks Configuration Management Installation Documentation.
Installation: Only a ZCC user with Administrator rights can manage PRUs.
The steps listed below assume a windows server with a directory of C:\su and the ZCC Username of Administrator with the password of novell. Change these in your steps as appropriate.
1) Download the 10.2.feb10pru.zip to a temporary directory such as C:\su. DO NOT unzip this file.
2) Open a command prompt or terminal and change the directory to %ZENworks_Home%\bin. The default location of %ZENworks_Home% is C:\Program Files\Novell\Zenworks on a windows server or /etc/opt/novell/zenworks on a Linux server
3) Run the following command:
zman sui c:\su\10.2.feb10pru.zip -U=Administrator -P=novell
(NOTE: modify this command for the location of the download and your administrator name and password)
4) Login to the ZCC and go to the Configuration -> System Updates page. The PRU will be listed here, select it and choose the 'Deploy PRU Now' action.
Issue: To see a list of recognition updates for this month or a complete list of all recognized products, download and extract the file 10.x.feb10Prod_Lists.zip.
