details

Overview: This update contains updates since the time of "code lock" for the updates for ZCM 10.2.2, ZLM 7.3 Interim Release 1/Hot Patch 2, and ZDM7 SP1 Interim Release 4 Hot Patch 2

System Requirements: ZDM7 SP1 IR4, ZCM 10.2.2, ZLM 7.3 IR1/HP2

New Fixes for this update, see:
TID 7005175 Imaging errors on Dell 960

Drivers updated
bnx2 (version 1.9.20b)
e1000e(version 1.0.15-NAPI)

Kernel Version: 2.6.27.29-0.1-default

Installation: Extract files from the downloaded zip file.

bootcd.iso:

1. Burn the bootcd.iso to CD or DVD.
2. Boot the managed device using the CD or DVD.

PXE files:

1. Take a back-up of the existing 'initrd','root' and 'linux', locations are shown below (when more than one location is used, it is for different purposes, for example PXE and updating the ZENworks partition, however the files in each location should be identical):
ZDM on NetWare
SYS:\tftp
SYS:\tftp\boot
SYS:\public\ZENworks\imaging
SYS:\ZENworks\Imaging\update

ZDM on Windows
C:\Program Files\ZEN Preboot Services\tftp\Data
C:\Program Files\ZEN Preboot Services\tftp\Data\boot
c:\novell\NDS\ZENworks\Imaging\update
c:\novell\public\zenworks\imaging

ZDML
/srv/tftp/boot
/opt/novell/zenworks/preboot/imaging/update

ZCM on Windows
%ZENWORKS_HOME%\share\tftp\boot
%ZENWORKS_HOME%\share\preboot\update

ZCM on Linux
/srv/tftp/boot
/opt/novell/zenworks/preboot/imaging/update

ZLM
/srv/tftp/boot
/opt/novell/zenworks/preboot/imaging/update

2. Copy the new pxe files and (on Linux) give read and execute permissions to all users.
3. Take a reliable backup of the existing settings.txt file from the tftp\boot directory (tftp/boot on Linux)
4. Copy the settings.txt file from the extracted zip file to the tftp\boot directory (tftp/boot on Linux) from the list above
PXE will not work correctly without the new entries in this file, do not leave your old file in place

5. Reconfigure the settings.txt file based on your requirements. You might want to refer to the settings.txt file you had backed up in step 3. Ensure that you do not change the order of the settings in this file. Note that for devices with more than one NIC, the netsetup line should be either
netsetup=dhcp,now,all
or
netsetup=-dhcp,now,all
6. Boot the managed device through PXE.
