abstract

This is a patch release for ZENworks Desktop Management 7, ZENworks Configuration Management 10.1 and ZENworks Linux Management 7.2 IR2 Imaging resource files. There is a separate downloadable file for each environment.
ZCM10.1.2_December08.zip for updates since ZCM 10.1.2
ZEN7SP1IR3a_HP2-December_08.zip for updates since ZDM7 SP1 IR3a Hot Patch 2 (note that the file "linux" in this zip file is older than the "linux" file for the other platforms, because no updates were necessary: this is not an error)
ZLM72IR2HP3-December.tgz for updates since ZLM 7.2 IR2 Hot Patch 3

This update supports some new Network Interface Cards.

This December update adds the latest version of drivers for atl2, r8101, r8169 and sk98lin, and adds the following device id entries:

Updates brought forward from the November update:
Previously, some device ids were moved from the driver e1000 to e1000e: this patch supports this, and also adds some new device ids for e1000e.
The device id list for e1000e - 0x10bd, 0x109a, 0x10de, 0x1049, 0x1092, 0x10f5, 0x104a, 0x108b, 0x108c, 0x10b9, 0x104b. The device id "0x4357" is also added to the device list of the driver sk98lin.

Overview: This update contains newer drivers than were available at the time of "code lock" for the most recent updates for ZCM 10.1, ZDM7 SP1 and ZLM7.2IR2

System Requirements: ZCM10.1/ZDM7 SP1/ZLM7.2 IR2

Installation: Extract files from the downloaded zip file.

bootcd.iso:

1. Burn the bootcd.iso to CD or DVD.
2. Boot the managed device using the CD or DVD.

PXE files:

1.Take the back-up of the existing 'initrd','root' and 'linux'.
2.Copy the new pxe files and (on Linux) give read and execute permissions to all users.
3.Boot the managed device through PXE.

Uninstalling: revert to saved copies of files
