Novell Identity Manager 3.6.0 Engine Patch 1. Fixed issues with synthetic adds failing, migration problems and issues with the DirXML-associations attribute. This patch will take the engine build to 20081126.

Overview: Novell Identity Manager 3.6.0 Engine Patch 1
System Requirements: Novell Identity Manager 3.6.0
Installation:
Windows
1. Stop all drivers.
2. Stop the eDirectory service.
3. Copy dirxml.jar to (drive):\novell\nds\lib (or wherever eDirectory is installed).
4. Start the eDirectory service.
5. Start Drivers.
Linux
As root:
1. Stop all drivers.
2. Stop ndsd.
/etc/init.d/ndsd stop
3. Install the updated RPM
rpm -U --relocate=/usr=/opt/novell/eDirectory (image-path)/linux/novell-DXMLbase*
Note: The (image-path) is the location where you extracted this patch. If you are already in that location you can just input the last part of the line beginning with a ./linux. For example,
rpm -U --relocate=/usr=/opt/novell/eDirectory ./novell-DXMLbase*
4. Start ndsd.
/etc/init.d/ndsd start
5. Start drivers.
AIX
As root:
1. Stop all drivers.
2. Stop ndsd.
/etc/ndsd stop
3. Install the updated RPM.
eDir 8.8.x:
rpm -U --relocate=/usr=/opt/novell/eDirectory (image-path)/aix/novell-DXMLbase*
4. Start ndsd.
/etc/ndsd start
5. Start drivers.
Solaris
As root:
1. Stop all drivers.
2. Stop ndsd
/etc/init.d/ndsd stop
3. Uninstall the old package
pkgrm -n -a /var/sadm/install/admin/admin.idm-relocate DXMLbase
4. Install the new packages
pkgadd -n -a /var/sadm/install/admin/admin.idm-relocate -d (image-path)/solaris/DXMLbase.pkg DXMLbase
5. Start ndsd.
/etc/init.d/ndsd start
6. Start drivers.

- Resolved issue where synthetic add's failed with "value required for attribute 'src- dn'" error. Bug 432959
- Resolved issue where querying for the DirXML-associations attribute returned an empty result. Bug 442426
