abstract

This is a SecureLogin Version 6.1 Hotfix. This Hotfix is provided as an MSP that should be applied to an existing SecureLogin V6.1 installation. Do NOT uninstall SecureLogin V6.1 before appling this Hotfix. Once applied, the installation version of Novell SecureLogin will remain 6.1.0 as reported in the SecureLogin About box. The Hotfix will not be listed separately in ADD/REMOVE programs, but will simply update the version information of Novell SecureLogin 6.1. To view the Hotfix number, select "Click here for support information" for Novell SecureLogin in the ADD/REMOVE programs screen. Please be prepared to report the Hotfix version listed in ADD/REMOVE programs any time you log a SecureLogin 6.1 issue with customer support. Once applied, you cannot uninstall this Hotfix without also uninstalling Novell SecureLogin.

Installation:

1. On a workstation that already has NSL6.1 installed (with or without a previous hot fix), after downloading and decompressing this file, simply launch the .msp file located in the folder ...\SecureLogin\Client.

2. Alternatively, to install this update on a workstation that does NOT have a previous installation of NSL6.1, this hot fix and NSL6.1 can be installed in a single operation by following the steps in the online documentation. See:

Uninstalling:
This hot fix cannot be uninstalled independently of NSL6.1. Use Control Panel, Add Remove Programs to uninstall Novell SecureLogin 6.1 and this patch together.

Issues addressed:

Fixes new to this release:
1. SLProto/ Shutdown leaves SLWinSSO running if message box is open (414525).
2. Error message randomly received: "A password change has been detected" (421968, 433784).
3. SecureLogin is frozen during startup with GPO, and datastore version set to 6.0. (431851)
4. SecureLogin and ADAM ignore ADAMSCP reg setting; connection made to wrong ADAM instance (56349).
5. Disabled script still accessible (56250).
6. SecureLogin repeatedly prompts for smart card after unlocking a PC (56247) .
7. Novell SecureLogin 6.1 Installation Guide updated to remove references that "product.ini" must exist in the same folder as "Novell SecureLogin.msi" (436389).

10. Single sign on takes 5 to 10 seconds extra when logging into Outlook (53705).
11. API License key option in Imanager is not consistent with Slmanager (298700).
12. Corporate redirected applications not viewable through iManager (208160).
13. Password Protect system tray not unlocking (282317).
14. AlwaysClearUsername registry setting not working (293286).
15. Re-authentication loop if incorrect password is entered when logging into NSL offline mode (298966).
16. NSL queries for Public Key every two seconds (341203).
17. Latency in default Lotus Notes Script with NSL6.1 (347414).
18. Enter key (\N) between fields does not work (351155).
19. Vista UAC says "Unidentified program" when trying to upgrade SecureLogin (355852).
20. TryRegCredOffline does not get created when installed in LDAP Credential Manager mode on workstation with Novell client (356876).
21. Seamless Login Not happening when Workstation Only selected in LDAP Gina (358481, 360468).
22. Vista: After NSL install, Novell Client no longer errors out when network disconnected (359052).
23. Sys variables not updated if user initiated password change occurs (360718).
24. Not able to run MSI 6.1 installer using Modify option to add some un-installed components when a MSP is applied over NSL 6.1 (376681).
25. SLManager user objects are displayed like container object with folder icon and '+' sign (372368).
