abstract

This is a patch for the Novell Identity Manager Notes Directory Driver that ships with 3.6 or with 3.5.1 It will take the version of the driver to 3.5.3 build 20081007. It may be applied to either 3.5.1 or 3.6 since both versions share the same activation.

Overview: IDM 3.6/3.5.1 Notes Driver version 3.5.3 Patch 1

System Requirements: IDM 3.5.1 and the Notes Driver from that version of IDM. Or IDM 3.6 and Notes Driver from that version.

Installation:

1. Stop all drivers.

2. Copy the patched jar file to one of the following directories:
- Windows - \novell\nds\lib
- Unix/Linux eDir 8.7.3 or older - /usr/lib/dirxml/classes
- Unix/Linux eDir 8.8 or newer - /opt/novell/eDirectory/lib/dirxml/classes
- Netware - sys:system\lib

If the driver is configured to use the remote loader, copy the file to one of the following directories:
- Windows - \Novell\remoteloader\lib
- Unix/Linux eDir 8.7.3 or older - /usr/lib/dirxml/classes
- Unix/Linux eDir 8.8 or newer - /opt/novell/eDirectory/lib/dirxml/classes

3. Cycle IDM and or the remote loader service

4. Start the driver(s)

Current Fixes:
- Fixed issue where the driver was incorrectly reporting the existence of the dsrepcfg.ntf file.

- Fixed issue where archive settings were not being inherited from template during user creation
