details

Overview: Patch 5 for the Novell Identity Manager Driver for Scripting 3.5.1

System Requirements: Novell Identity Manager 3.5.1 and the Novell Identity Manager Driver for Scripting from that version.

Installation Instructions

1. Stop the driver and driver shim started tasks, if they are running.

For Linux and Solaris, use the shim stop command:
/etc/init.d/usdrvd stop
For AIX, use
/etc/rc.d/init.d/usdrvd stop
For HPUX, use
/sbin/init.d/usdrvd stop

2. For Windows, replace wsdriver.exe, idmevent.exe and EventReader.exe.
By default these are located in C:\Program Files\Novell\WSDriver\bin.

2. For Unix, execute _scriptdriver_install.bin and follow the
instructions for either a new installation or package update.

3. Start the driver in iManager, then start the driver service.

For Linux and Solaris, use the shim start command:
/etc/init.d/usdrvd start
For AIX, use
/etc/rc.d/init.d/usdrvd start
For HPUX, use
/sbin/init.d/usdrvd start

Technical Support Information:

Current Fixes
- Fixed schema configuration file not parsed correctly when class names or attributes were quoted.

- Fixed race condition if two drivers were configured for the same system and attempted to connect to the driver shim simultaneously. This could result in driver shim crashes or shared memory errors.

- OpenSSL updated to 0.9.8g.

Previous Fixes:
- Fixed mishandling of non-ASCII characters which could result in an abend or hung driver shim.

- Adjusted memory management to more efficiently handle events with large amounts of data.

- Fixed network timeout that sometimes restarted the driver shim's connection with the IDM engine.

- Fixed network error that would sometimes occur when sending large amounts of data to the IDM engine. For example, during a large migration.

- Fixed issue in which the password files could not be read on Windows, preventing the driver from loading. The driver would print the message "Remote loader password and driver object password must be set".

- Fixed incorrect handling of non-ASCII characters when passed to/from scripts on Windows.

- Fixed handling of the old-src-dn field for rename and move events.

-The "/" (root) path of the driver shim's web interface can now be accessed.

-The dest-dn, dest-entry-id and template-dn event fields are now accessible from the scripts.

- Improved memory allocation during event processing, which improved how much memory was required for large migrations.

- Fixed situation where the Query-back interface would not return attributes properly.

- Fixed error handling unicode characters.

- Fixed install on Solaris not installing the IDMLib.pm properly.

- Fixed multi-command documents not being processed correctly.
