This is a patch file for the Novell Client 1.0 for Windows Vista. It includes fixes for problems found after the Novell Client 1.0 for Windows Vista was released.

System Requirements:
This patch is designed to update the Novell Client 1.0 for Windows Vista. It is appropriate for both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms.
Installation:
Execute the enclosed file "Novell Client for Windows Vista 1.0 Update 3.exe," then click on the "Setup" button. It will detect the platform, and install the appropriate files. Finally, click on the "Restart Now" button to complete the process. Before restarting, save any open files and close all programs.
Technical Support Information:
This patch fixes the following issues seen with the Novell Client 1.0 for Windows Vista:

1. Turn off Forgotten Password option when NMAS is disabled. (Bug 289424)
2. Add feature to have a default Windows username and password. (Bug 290725)
3. Blank passwords are not attempted from login profile to windows credential provider. (Bug 291914)
4. Lock / unlock workstation asks for wrong authentication. (Bug 292147)
5. Cannot change password via CTRL + ALT + DEL after RDN login. (Bug 293684)
6. Create definitive NCCredProvider behavior when NCCredProvider wasn't used for login. (Bug 294059)
7. Windows tab of login dialog doesn't account for change in computer name. (Bug 295155)
8. LDAP Contextless Login still attempts lookup when full DN entered in Username field. (Bug 296755)
9. Enable password field in profile not honored by Credential Provider. (Bug 297888)
10. Blue screen when opening a file on a mapped drive through application. (Bug 307543)
11. No login tiles appear after installing Novell Client for Vista 1.0. (Bug 308396)
12. Login error when member of domain and "change password at next login" selected. (Bug 309649)
13. Advanced Login options are not recognized by the Credential Provider. (Bug 337656)
14. Problems logging in with alias user containing dots in the alias username. (Bug 345295)
Previous Fixes:
1. File read for successfully locked file byte range fails with lock error. On Novell Client for Windows Vista 1.0, after successfully opening a file for reading and successfully locking a byte range of the file, attempting to read from the locked range results in ERROR_LOCK_VIOLATION. (Bug 327586)
2. System crash when opening a file on a mapped drive through application. (Bug 307543)
3. Drive information is not updated when a user maps to a volume and disconnects and later tries to map to a different volume with the same drive letter. (Bug 300971)
4. System crash when opening large files. (Bug 310453, 335347)
