This is a CD ISO image that contains all of the fixes to Novell Audit 2.0.2. This includes fixes for all platforms. Please see TID 3619416 at http://www.novell.com/support/ for a list of the fixes included in this CD ISO. The DETAILS section below will list all new fixes in FP4. For previous and current fixes, please see TID 3619416.

INSTALLATION: Please run the appropriate setup routine for your operating system. Please review the comments below regarding this patch:

1.) MAKE SURE YOU UPDATE YOUR SECURE LOGGING SERVER (SLS) FIRST BEFORE YOU UPDATE ANY OF THE PLATFORM AGENTS. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN YOUR PLATFORM AGENTS NOT SENDING EVENTS TO YOUR SLS!

2.) When you run the install, you will see auditext execute. Auditext will extend the eDirectory schema, create your SLS object in the tree, etc. If your schema has already been extended and your SLS has already been created, you can simply exit from the Auditext screen and continue through the install. If this is an upgrade from an older version of Novell Audit (such as the 1.0.x code branch), please extend the schema. NOTE: If you are unsure about the Novell Audit schema extensions, you can re-extend the schema.

3.) If your iManager plugins no longer work after this update, make sure you update your Novell Audit NPM. If you are running RBS, you will want to add the NPM into your RBS collection and update it.

4.) This copy of Novell Audit does not contain a license file. Please make a backup of your naudit.nlf file in case it gets deleted by the install. Additionally, if you have made changes to your logevent.cfg/logevent.conf file, please make a backup copy of that file as well.

5.) This install will put down a new/updated libmysql that is for MySQL version 4.1. If you have an older version of libmysql (libmysql.nlm), please make a backup copy of that file. If you are not using MySQL 4.1 or greater, you may want to overwrite the libmysql that is installed in this patch to be the version that you are currently running. Please see TID 10101034 for details on what may happen if there are mismatched versions of MySQL libraries on your server.

6.) If you are running the Novell Audit 2.x (2.0, 2.0.1, 2.0.2) starter packs, this ISO image superceeds those starter packs. If you are having problems with those versions of Novell Audit, please install this version of Novell Audit.

KNOWN PROBLEMS AND LIMIATIONS: As of this writing, no known issues with this patch. Please see TID 3619416 for any updates on known issues.

Bug 260667 - Support for BLOB datatype on Oracle 10g databases.
Bug 284879 - Changed NauditPA.jar file so it will work with IBM JVM.
Bug 294771 - Fixed an ABEND/issue with Lcache.nlm when the "Stop Logging" parameter is specified in the logevent.cfg.
Bug 290625 - Limited cache files to 2 GB per instrumentation. When that size is reached, cache will be dropped.
Bug 297134 - Updated lgdora.so to shutdown the SLS when the following Oracle errors occur: ORA-01653, ORA-01654, ORA-01658, ORA-01683, ORA-24381
Bug 298627 - AuditDS on Linux inserts an extra 'logout' event.
Bug 307123 - Lcache corrupts and deletes cache files when they reach 2GB in size.
Bug 291965 - Windows instrumentation causes high CPU utilization when IAS is configured on a Windows 2003 server.
Bug 287974 - Fixed an issue where eDirectory entry rights don't display correctly in Text1 field.
Bug 287996 - Problems installing Novell Audit on IDM 3.5 server when PA already exists.
Bug 290689 - Audit reports wrong value to boolean attributes on eDir instrumentation
