This is a Public Beta release of the GroupWise 7SP1 Migration Utility for Microsoft Exchange. All features that are part of the Beta are likely, but not guaranteed to be part of the finished product. This product is of Beta quality and should have any defects reported to Novell Technical Services. GroupWise System Requirements
This utility can only migrate to a GroupWise 7.x system.
NOTE: THIS MIGRATION UTILITY HAS SECURITY FIXES INCLUDED THAT REQUIRE THE POST OFFICE AGENTS (POAs) OF THE DESTINATION POST OFFICE TO BE RUNNING GROUPWISE 7.02 HOT PATCH 1A CODE OR LATER. PLEASE GO TO FOLLOWING URL TO OBTAIN THE 7.02 HOT PATCH 1A OR LATER AGENTS. THEY WILL BE DATED 8 JUNE 2007 OR LATER.

Installation Instructions
If previous releases of the Migration Utility are installed, please uninstall before proceeding.
1. At a workstation that meets the above system requirements, make sure that Outlook is already installed.
2. The GroupWise client should not be installed. If it is, the Exchange Migration Utility Setup program removes it.
3. Make sure that you have administrator rights to the Exchange server that you want to migrate.
IMPORTANT:The workstation where you run the Migration Utility must have a username and password identical to the one on the Exchange server. Otherwise, you cannot access the Exchange server with the necessary rights.
4. From the Novell Downloads Web site, download the GroupWise Migration Utility for Microsoft Exchange (b2gw701exmig.exe) into a temporary directory.
5. Run ExMigrate_7SP1.zip to extract the Migration Utility files into a convenient directory.
6. Run setup.exe in the migrate/ExMigrate directory, then click Next to install the Migration Utility.
7. Click Yes to accept the license agreement.
8. Click Next to select the setup type.
Typical: Installs the Migration Utility in English in the c:\novell\exchange migration utility directory.
Custom: Lets you select the installation directory. The utility is currently available in English only.
9. To accept the default of Typical, click Next.
10. Click Install to install the Exchange Migration Utility.
11. When the software has been installed, click Finish.

Vulnerability Explanation:
A security vulnerability in the GroupWise system that allows a malicious user to intercept authentication credentials through a 'man in the middle' mechanism. All of the following OS's are affected: Server: NetWare, Linux, Windows Client: Windows, Linux, Macintosh. This is the same fix that went into all GroupWise 7.02 Hot Patch Agents and Clients.
Reported as CVE-2007-2513. This vulnerability was discovered by Andreas Schmidt, cirosec GmbH (http://www.cirosec.de).
Resolution:
This Utility will only function with a GroupWise system that has had its agents updated to the GroupWise 7.02 Hot Patch Level. It will not work with agents that pre-date that release.
