details

Overview: Patch for the Novell Identity Manager Driver for Scripting 3.5.1

System Requirements: Novell Identity Manager 3.5.1 and the Novell Identity Manager Driver for Scripting from that version. Also an implementation of that driver on Microsoft Windows.

Installation:

1. Stop the driver and driver shim started tasks, if they are already running.

2. Replace wsdriver.exe and idmevent.exe. By default these are located in the C:\Program Files\Novell\WSDriver\bin directory.

3. Start the driver in iManager, then start the driver service.

Technical Support Information:

Current Issues
- Fixed mishandling of unicode characters which could result in an ABEND or hung driver shim.

- Adjusted memory management to more efficiently handle events with large amounts of data.

- Fixed network timeout that sometimes restarted the driver shim's connection with the IDM engine.

- Fixed network error that would sometimes occur when sending large amounts of data to the IDM engine. For example, during a large migration.

- Fixed issue in which the password files could not be read on Windows, preventing the driver from loading. The driver would print the message "Remote loader password and driver object password must be set".
