2.0 Changes in this Patch

Daylight Savings parameters have changed in the New Zealand and several other countries. The Branch Office server controls Daylight Savings and Time zone information in special way by using information listed in the file sys:\etc\timezone.ini. This file has been updated with new Daylight Saving information. Upon restart, the new information takes effect.

3.0 Verifying the Installation

To verify that you have the patch properly installed, run the get timezone command from the Branch Office console. In the US, the time zone parameters should include:

dst start month = 3
dst start rule = second

This specifies the second Sunday in March.

To verify that you have the patch properly installed, run the get timezone command from the Branch Office console. In the New Zealand, the time zone parameters should include:

dst start month = 9
dst start rule = last

This specifies the last Sunday in September. Other countries should look for their appropriate Daylight Savings changes.
